This July, Fischer Reentry Consulting, LLC proudly marks its first fully month following 9 years in business. Standing on unwavering dedication, President and CEO Jana Fischer has strived to deliver a life-changing impact no matter the service. From humble beginnings to becoming a recognized force in reentry services, this milestone is more than just a number — it's a celebration of progress, perseverance, and purpose.
A Vision That Sparked a Service
Founded in 2016, Fischer Reentry Consulting, LLC was born from a vision to bridge the gap for justice-involved individuals reentering society. At a time when reentry services were fragmented and often overlooked, Fischer stepped in with a bold mission: to provide guidance, advocacy, and comprehensive consulting services that empower individuals and organizations alike to build stronger, more equitable pathways forward.
The Heart of the Work: People
Over the past nine years, Fischer Reentry Consulting has touched thousands of lives — not just those returning home after incarceration, but also the families, communities, and service providers who walk alongside them. With a people-first approach, FRC has led initiatives that prioritize dignity, reduce recidivism, and promote second chances.
From partnering with community-based organizations and correctional institutions, to training professionals, the reach of FRC's work is far and wide — and deeply felt.
Highlights Over the Years
Essential Business Skills: Hundreds of individuals have been supported through this class that FRC puts on at AccessAbility Inc (AAI), helping a new class of justice impacted individuals each month discover the tools and strategies they'll need to rely on to not just get a job, but to set their lives on a new trajectory.
Training & Development: Jana Fischer has led dozens of workshops and training sessions across the country, equipping professionals with the tools they need to support returning citizens with compassion and skill. The most recent of which was the Clinic Assistant training program delivered at St Paul College.
Community Partnerships: Collaborations with nonprofits, faith-based groups, government agencies, and colleges, have amplified Fischer Reentry's impact and fostered a network of support for those most in need.
Accredited Curriculum: The Forensic Peer Recovery Specialist Training serves as an example of what a training designed to help professionals in the field properly support their peers with their experiences and passion leading the way should be. The Minnesota Certification Board approved certification of this curriculum to be delivered by FRC and our partner for this training, Bold North Recovery.
A Moment to Reflect — and Look Ahead
Nine years is both a celebration and a call to action. This work is never done — but with each success story, each policy shift, and each community that steps up, we are reminded of why this work matters.
As Fischer Reentry Consulting, LLC enters its 10th year, the commitment remains strong: to listen, to lead, and to stand in the gap for those rebuilding their lives after incarceration.
We thank our partners, clients, supporters, and the many individuals who have trusted us to walk this journey with them. Your strength fuels our mission.
Here’s to 9 years — and to the future we continue to build, together.
